Roles of the Project Implementation Unit
The PIU was set up in May 2016 and is responsible for financial management, disbursement of funds to Implementing entities, procurement and supply management, monitoring and evaluation and reporting on programmatic and financial progress to Government Principals the Global Fund and the CCM.
Assumes the overall responsibility
- To enhance GF implementation quality assurance for the MOH grants.
- To facilitate GF Programme implementation and improve grant funding absorption.
- To oversee programme performance in line with the outlined Performance Framework (PF).
- To serve as a niche between MOH and its key stakeholders on Global Fund issues.
